We are currently seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a consultancy partner engaged in a variety of cutting-edge projects across the FMCG, Energy, and Automotive sectors. This is a fully remote role based in the UK, with occasional expensed client site visits. The position is offered on a 6-month contract outside IR35, with a competitive daily rate of £550.

In this role, you will apply your expertise to commercial Data Science projects involving physical products, leveraging advanced methodologies in either Computer Vision or Time Series Analysis. You will be working on innovative and impactful solutions that analyse patterns, forecast trends, and derive insights from highly complex datasets, helping clients make data-driven decisions that deliver real business value.

The ideal candidate will bring strong proficiency in Python, as well as experience working with cloud-based platforms, particularly AWS. You will demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following domains: Time Series forecasting, Computer Vision techniques, or Acoustic Analysis. Experience in the FMCG industry will be highly advantageous, particularly if you have worked with datasets derived from sensors or embedded systems within manufactured goods.

This opportunity requires a Data Scientist who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a client-facing environment, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional delivery teams. You must have the flexibility to travel once or twice throughout the role for client workshops or project kickoffs – all travel expenses will be covered.

There is a swift and straightforward two-stage interview process in place, with the aim of bringing the successful candidate on board as soon as possible. We are seeking individuals with a professional attitude, strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
