We’re reinventing payments.
In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.

Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year.
But we’re just getting started.

Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.

The Role

At Dojo, we believe in using data to create products that empower our customers and make a real difference. We're not just focused on the basics like churn prediction — we want to go beyond that and add value to every transaction. Our data team is building solutions that are accessible to businesses of all sizes and industries, helping level the playing field. Thanks to the wealth of data we have and the widespread use of our payment terminals, we're able to make a real impact.

But it's not just about our external customers — we also support our internal teams across the business by providing valuable insights, making predictions, and optimising processes. We're looking for data scientists who are passionate about data, love driving innovation, and want to create meaningful change that benefits both our business and the people we serve.

What you will do:

Work alongside a supportive and diverse central data team, including analysts, analytics engineers, ML engineers, and fellow data scientists, to create impactful data products.

Design, build, and maintain data solutions, such as machine learning models, data pipelines, and dashboards, that solve real-world problems. - Develop efficient, optimised solutions with a focus on both time and computational resources.
Dive into and familiarise yourself with our data, exploring new ways to use it to drive insights.
Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the business, translating their needs into clear data solutions, and communicating your findings in a way that everyone can understand.
Document your work clearly, both from a data and technological perspective, to ensure your solutions are accessible to everyone.
Share your knowledge and ideas with the wider data community to help foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.

What you will bring:

Strong experience with SQL, Python, and the essential data libraries (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, etc.).

Hands-on experience with Exploratory Data Analysis, using statistical concepts to drive conclusions and insights.
Experience in building and optimising machine learning models and understanding how to define the right metrics for each unique challenge.
A track record of taking ownership of the full data product lifecycle, from proof of concept to production and ongoing maintenance.
Experience working with large datasets and optimising computations to improve performance.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially GCP or AWS, and tools such as Databricks, Git, MLFlow, and DBT.
A customer-centric mindset, with a focus on creating products that solve real problems and make a positive impact.

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.

You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.

From local bakeries to well-known eateries, Dojo payments serve over 150,000 places across the UK.

And something that’s fundamental to creating relevant, innovative products at Dojo is to build teams to reflect the diversity of the businesses we serve.

Our drive to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion is closely linked to helping employees thrive and innovating for better customer experiences.

If you care about your work, you’re curious, and you think customer-first, you have a place at Dojo.
