What you'll do: 

Innovate: Develop reliable machine learning models to tackle crucial business challenges.Transform: Explore, transform, and document datasets, collaborating with data engineers to build robust data pipelines using tools like DBT, Apache Airflow and Dagster.Enhance: Work alongside team members to boost the performance and reliability of existing models, leveraging platforms like Databricks and Valohai.Code: Write well-documented, scalable, testable and maintainable code that adheres to best-practice principles. Collaborate on code reviews and pair programming sessions. ️Communicate: Share insights and recommendations, translating complex data science concepts into clear, non-technical language for our business stakeholders.Strategize: Provide domain-specific input to shape strategic decisions.Enrich: Share insights and knowledge, and build living best practices, helping your team become the best version of itself.

What you'll bring:

Solid Fundamentals: Strong statistical knowledge and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts in data science, and a keen understanding of how to apply them to real-world problems.Python Skills: Proficiency in Python and key data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, and PyTorch.ML Mastery: Demonstrable experience deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production, with knowledge of explainable AI techniques and model monitoring.Data Wrangling: Strong SQL and data modelling, pipeline orchestration and feature engineering skills, and experience using data visualization tools like Matplotlib, and Plotly to communicate insights. ☁️Cloud native: Familiarity with Git, cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and Linux command-line environments. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. ️Communication: Ability to present technical work in plain, lucid English and confidently share insights with non-technical audiences.

This is a hybrid role. Due to the nature of the contract, we would be seeking for the successful candidate to work on-site frequently. However, hybrid working arrangements can be discussed at offer stage.

Salary: Circa £48,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role
