The Data Scientist will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to extract insights from complex datasets and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong foundation in data science techniques, programming, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business solutions.
Principal Accountabilities

1. Apply advanced analytics techniques including mathematics, statistics, data mining, and predictive/prescriptive modeling to derive actionable insights from structured and unstructured data.

2. Develop and implement data science models using specialized programming languages and tools to solve business problems and optimize processes.

3. Source, prepare, and clean data for analysis by identifying, validating, and integrating internal and external datasets.

4. Formulate hypotheses and explore data using models and analytics sandboxes to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.

5. Evaluate and enhance model performance through continuous testing, validation, and refinement to ensure accuracy and reliability.

6. Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure data pipelines are optimized for efficient model training and deployment.

7. Communicate insights and findings to stakeholders through clear reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

8. Work cross-functionally with business units to integrate data science solutions into operational workflows and strategic initiatives.
Skills and Competencies
Education & Experience
• M.Sc. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a data science or similar analytical role.
• Experience with open-source data science tools and libraries.
• Familiarity with AWS and related cloud technologies.
• Experience with data governance and management best practices.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a plus.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (e.g., S3, EC2, SageMaker).
• Familiarity with tools like Jupyter, Snowflake, Docker, and Atlassian suite (Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence).
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Natural curiosity and a passion for uncovering insights from data.
• Innovative mindset with attention to detail and time management
