Job Description

What is the opportunity?RBC Capital Markets is strengthening its Client Analytics & AI franchise to drive measurable front-office impact across Sales & Trading and Banking. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for an AI builder who can shape a multi-quarter roadmap, deliver globally scalable capabilities, and accelerate adoption with EMEA stakeholders.You will be responsible for defining the EMEA-facing AI agenda (priorities, adoption, outcomes) and delivering reusable analytics and AI products in partnership with global teams, front-office leadership, Risk, Compliance, and Technology.This role requires 4 days in the office (London, UK).
What will you do?Own EMEA adoption and delivery for globally scalable Client Analytics & AI products, turning front-office priorities into a sequenced roadmap with measurable commercial outcomes.Act as the senior AI partner to EMEA Sales & Trading and Banking leadership, shape use cases, align on success metrics, and drive sustained usage in daily workflows.Provide technical leadership from design through rollout, setting standards for scalable architecture, evaluation, and reuse in partnership with Technology and Data teams.Lead cross-functional execution across Front Office, Technology, Compliance, and Data & control partners, ensuring clear decisions, strong delivery cadence, and accountable ownership.Embed strong risk management practices in operation. Ensure solutions meet internal control standards (Model Risk Management – MRM where applicable), data privacy (UK GDPR), conduct requirements, and operational resilience expectations; coordinate approvals and ongoing monitoring with Risk/Compliance partners.Strengthen RBC’s EMEA AI community presence: mentor talent, shape hiring needs, run internal showcases, and elevate best practices that scale across desks and regions.Influence the global strategy by surfacing EMEA needs, scaling wins, and standardizing what works across asset classes and business lines.What do you need to succeed?Must-haveBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.Extensive experience delivering applied analytics/AI products end-to-end in complex enterprises with significant capital markets experience.Proven ability to drive outcomes with senior stakeholders across front office, Technology, and control functions. Prioritizes work that impacts revenue, wallet retention, conversion, and productivity over vanity outputs.Strong hands-on technical foundation in modern ML/AI systems and evaluation, with the ability to steer architecture and make pragmatic trade-offs.Demonstrated experience navigating risk/compliance considerations in production delivery (e.g., MRM processes where relevant, data governance/privacy, operational risk controls).Leadership track record: mentoring teams, leading delivery, influencing without authority, and communicating crisply to technical and non-technical audiences.Nice-to-have:Master/PhD degree in AI, Data Science, or a related ML disciplineExperience with Graph / relationship intelligence (embeddings, clustering, routing, warm paths, GNN), causal inference / uplift, optimization/OR (e.g., scheduling/assignment problems for corporate access or coverage capacity).Experience with major market/CRM data ecosystems and external capital markets datasets (e.g., wallet benchmarks, sponsor intelligence, deal activity).Cloud and production experience (e.g., Kubernetes, Databricks/Spark, feature stores, CI/CD) with an evaluation-first mindset.Track record of leading small squads and scaling a product’s adoption across desks/regions.What is in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best - progressive thinking to keep growing and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
