Data Science is at the heart of decision making and customer treatments at Sky. We provide analytics to inform customer growth strategies, create tooling to drive personalised customer treatments, and champion test‑and‑learn through experimentation.

What you’ll be doing

On our Data Science internship, you’ll have exposure across the business as you work with stakeholders to help drive decision making using the power of data and insights. You’ll learn analytical techniques and use cutting‑edge predictive algorithms to deliver valuable insight to the business. You could be helping to build our next data product, predicting future customer behaviour, or unlocking the value of our content.


Data Science teams you may join

  • Data Science & Analytics – Consumer – Work closely with commercial teams, building data science models and data products to help inform and drive strategic decisions
  • Data Science & Analytics – Content – Work with viewing data to build personalised customer experiences and help customers discover more of what they love
  • Data Science & Analytics – Product & Operations – Work with product teams to build new data tools and improve the effectiveness and performance of the products our customers use every day

What we’re looking for

You’re a graduate from any degree discipline, or will soon be. You may have studied maths, statistics, computer science, economics, or physics, or be able to demonstrate your understanding of data through personal or university projects. What matters most is your passion for data and the drive and ambition you can bring to the team.


Other Skills We Value Include

  • Logical, end-to-end thinker
  • Enthusiastic problem‑solver with numerical, presentation, and IT skills
  • Previous experience in data manipulation using Python, SQL, R, SAS, MATLAB
  • Academic experience in machine learning, including supervised/unsupervised learning, regression, decision trees, random forests, and boosting
  • Enjoy task‑focused delivery, fast‑paced environments, and overcoming challenges
  • Collaborative, great with people, and keen on following recent trends in the market
