About the Role


One of my clients are on the look out for a Data Science Consultant to join a dynamic team focused on helping enterprise clients unlock the full potential of their first-party behavioural data. This role combines technical expertise in AI and data science with a strong consulting mindset, enabling clients to achieve measurable ROI through advanced analytics and personalised insights.

You will work at the intersection of technology and business, collaborating with product teams, engineers, and client stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions. The position is ideal for experienced data scientists who want to broaden their scope into client-facing consulting or technical consultants with a strong foundation in data science and AI.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver data-driven solutions using advanced analytics and machine learning to create tangible value for clients.
  • Partner with enterprise customers to understand their challenges and identify opportunities for behavioural insights.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, commercially relevant outcomes for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Engineer new features and models that enhance customer understanding and improve decision-making.
  • Act as an internal advocate for data science, contributing ideas for product innovation and participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Support the development of new data science opportunities that can evolve into product capabilities.


Skills & Experience


Essential

  • Strong ability to analyse client problems and creatively apply data science to deliver ROI.
  • Hands-on experience building and evaluating machine learning models (e.g., clustering, NLP, deep learning).
  • Proficiency in feature engineering and data discovery for model development.
  • Familiarity with AI tooling such as fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify technical content for business audiences.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings (approx. 2 short trips per quarter).


Desirable

  • Experience with B2B products and enterprise-scale data solutions.
  • Knowledge of Spark SQL, PySpark, and related ML libraries.
  • Exposure to distributed data platforms (e.g., Hive, Databricks) and cloud services (AWS preferred).
  • Understanding of advanced AI concepts such as LLMs, agentic systems, and causal AI.
