What you’lllearn 

Start with a bootcamp toquickly get you up to speed with our Group and how Data Science andAnalytics will play a vital for our future, then over the two yearsyou’ll rotate through three eight-month placements within teamsacross the Group. You’ll experience agile ways of working, play toyour strengths, and grow beyond them with training and networkingthat’s tailored to your needs andinterests. 

You’ll bematched up with a buddy or mentor to support you and offer guidancethroughout the scheme, and you’ll have access to technical andbusiness-aligned training, including platforms such as VivaLearning and other Learning Management Systems, to further helpyour development.  

Withopportunities for extracurricular activities to expand your skillsand experience across the bank and with introductions to colleaguenetworks, you’ll make great connections to further your career.  

We’ll developyour expertise in one of the areas outlined below, helping youbecome a data professional, ready to impact change. Build thecareer youwant. 

DataScience 

Design and build machinelearning algorithms and cutting-edge AI solutions. Combine coding,stats, and business savvy to change the way we dothings. 

DataEngineering 

Use top-tier tech tobuild data pipelines. Learn and control Cloud environments and laythe groundwork for great analytics and datascience. 

DataAnalytics andVisualisation 

Uncover patternsand extract insights. Present valuable information with compellingdata visualisations and enterprise BItools. 

The WorkYou Could Be Doing 

  • Using advancedstatistical or machine learning techniques to tackle problems likefraud detection, credit risk modelling, customer segmentation, orlanguagemodelling. 

  • Buildingpipelines and processes to transform data for analytics and datascience. 

  • Developinginnovative self-service analytics solutions for quick decisionmaking. 

Isthis foryou? 

Requirements 

  • A2:2 degree or above in any subject area from anyuniversity. 

  • Studentswith a PhD or Masters degree are alsowelcome.

  • Knowledge ofanalytical techniques and experience in manipulating and derivinginsight from data. Python coding experience, knowledge of SQL andthe ability to use statistical modelling techniques would bebeneficial. 

  • Legalright to work in the UK, we are unable to offer sponsorship forthis programme.  

Locations 

Thisscheme operates in various UK locations including Edinburgh, NorthWest, South West, West Yorkshire and London. You’ll select one ofthese locations and be based there throughout your programme. Wesupport hybrid working with at least two days a week in theoffice.
