Data Science & AI Senior Designer -

Salary: 65k-75k (Bristol/Norwich) £80-95k (London)

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Science & AI Designer to join our dynamic and growing Data Science & AI platform team. This role provides technical leadership in shaping and evolving our AI and Data Science technology stack, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native architecture, automation, and CI/CD practices. Experience with AI/ML services in cloud environments (preferably AWS) is essential.

As a Senior Designer, you will define architectural patterns and standards across our toolset, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance with Aviva's security and technical standards. You will collaborate across technology and cloud teams to drive innovation and deliver robust, scalable solutions.

You will also play a senior role within a team of Designers and Architects, supporting the delivery of positive customer outcomes by ensuring our solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with customer needs and financial goals.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Lead a team of Designers and Architects, setting architectural standards and driving continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and introduce modern cloud-native services to enhance our platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate across business units to align Data Science & AI architecture with enterprise strategy.
  • Maintain and evolve architecture patterns, ensuring compliance while enabling innovation.
  • Advance AIOps and MLOps practices across the end-to-end architecture.

  • Starting salary between 6 5k- 7 5k (Bristol/Norwich) £80-95k (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
