AI Research Engineer, PhD

We are seeking innovative Data Science & AI Engineers to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge development technologies. As a Data Science & AI Engineer Intern, you'll work closely with a wider product development team to analyse data, develop machine learning models, and integrate AI technologies. This role offers a hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of data science and artificial intelligence within the healthcare technology sector.

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Exploration & Analysis: Conduct initial data exploration, statistical analysis, and ensure data quality.
  2. Machine Learning Model Development: Develop, test, validate, and optimise machine learning models.
  3. AI Integration: Collaborate on integrating AI into our product, monitor performance, and refine as necessary.
  4. Data Pipeline Development: Assist in building and optimising data pipelines for efficient data flow.
  5. Report & Visualisation: Create visualisations and reports to communicate findings and insights.
  6. Continuous Learning & Research: Stay updated with advancements in data science, ML, and AI to benefit the project.

Qualifications:

  1. Pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related fields.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  4. Experience with Python, R, TensorFlow, and familiarity with Azure Machine Learning Studio is a plus.
  5. A passion for innovation and continuous learning in data science and AI.

Benefits:

Join our internship programme within our Product Development team. Interns typically join us for 3 months (often with the possibility to extend the internship) on an unpaid basis. We offer:

  • Mentorship: Work closely with experienced industry professionals.
  • Real-World Experience: Gain hands-on experience in AI/ML development and engineering, contributing to live projects that have a direct impact on our users.

All our internships are full-time, and successful candidates following the first 3 months will be evaluated for a £700.00 per month salary upon successful confirmation as Junior Associates.
