We are thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity at RoSPA for a Data Quality and Governance Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As we embark on our journey towards a more data-centric approach, we seek a dynamic individual passionate about harnessing the power of data to drive our mission forward.

In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative techniques and implementing cutting-edge improvements that ensure the accuracy, quality, security, compliance, and legitimacy of all our organisational data and documents. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the management and continuous enhancement of RoSPA’s business data systems, ensuring they are robust and reliable.

Furthermore, your leadership will guide our employees to adhere to best practices, governance, and regulatory requirements. By fostering a culture of data integrity, you will empower stakeholders to confidently rely on our data systems, ultimately shaping our strategies and helping us achieve our goals.

  • Experienced in developing an organisation's data management processes, systems, and structures? This role involves collaborating with internal customers and suppliers to design, build, and maintain effective solutions.

  • Do you have experience creating, implementing, and continuously reviewing data governance frameworks? This includes establishing policies, procedures, and standards for managing data assets to ensure accuracy, integrity, quality, and security.

  • Are you skilled in evaluating data system performance, monitoring data usage, and implementing controls to ensure data accuracy and completeness?

  • Have you worked closely with colleagues at various levels to identify the root causes of data issues and implement timely solutions that align with agreed-upon service levels?

  • Do you have experience implementing both technical and manual procedures to securely and efficiently handle and share data and documents and ensure organisation-wide compliance with company policies, regulations, and legal obligations?

  • Are you adept at collaborating across departments and with stakeholders to define and maintain data standards and business rules? This includes assisting with acquiring and mapping data from various systems and sources.

  • Have you developed and enforced methods for complying with data regulations, including retention and disposal policies, while ensuring that security and privacy controls are in place to protect sensitive or classified information?

  • Have you provided training, documentation, and support to ensure employees understand their roles and responsibilities in effectively managing data?

  • A BSc in Information Governance, Business Data Analytics, Business Administration, or equivalent?

  • Experience of working as a Data Manager or Information Governance Manager or similar role, implementing efficient and secure procedures for data management and compliance with attention to all technical aspects?

  • Proven experience of managing data at a detailed level, including solid working knowledge of data security, laws and protocols?

  • A thorough and proven understanding of data management and administrative policies?

  • Recognising the ethical, legal and regulatory implications of data usage, storage, and analysis, especially in terms of privacy, and be aware of the use and potential benefits of AI and machine learning?

  • Experience of querying databases and other sources of data, and managing data and documents in a Microsoft environment, including Dynamics 365 and SharePoint?

  • Experience of cleansing data and preparing data for migration and analysis?

  • The ability to clearly convey findings, both written and orally, to non-technical stakeholders. This includes creating reports and presentations to stakeholders?

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to understand their data requirements?

  • Strong problem-solving skills delivering solutions to business problems using a data-driven approach?
