Job Description The Data Product Owner (Operational) will play a crucial role in overseeing the lifecycle of our data products, ensuring their optimal performance and alignment with business objectives. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision, strategy, and requirements while managing operational processes and ensuring data integrity. The ideal candidate is both a strategic and tactical thinker with a deep understanding of data operations, product management, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities: Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for data products, aligning with business goals and market needs. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, translating them into actionable plans. Roadmap Development: Create and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of data products, including data ingestion, processing, and quality assurance. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and fostering strong relationships. Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all data products. Performance Monitoring: Monitor product performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of data products. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of product features, processes, and updates. Compliance & Security: Ensure data products comply with industry standards, regulations, and security protocols. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a data-focussed Business Analyst, Product Owner, or a related role. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Analytical Skills: Proficient in analysing complex data sets and translating insights into actionable product features. Experience with KPIs and OKRs: Able to set and drive clear KPIs and OKRs within a complex technology and data landscape. Technical Proficiency: High technical acumen and the ability to communicate well with the Business, Architecture and Engineering is a requirement, as well as a strong understanding of data management technologies, including databases, ETL processes, and data analytics tools. Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a strategic and analytical mindset. Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong relationships. Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all aspects of data product management. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving common goals.
