Job summary

The post holder will support the maintenance, development, and use of the Trust Data Management and visualisation platforms. The post-holder will support the specification and development of reports and visualisations to enable Information Services to deliver a first class, comprehensive and proactive service to the Trust.

The post holder will contribute to the development of the Data Engineering programme and ensure all reporting is presented in the most dynamic and meaningful way. The post holder will ensure the integrity of data across all datasets used both internally and for local and national returns.

Data Science and clinical intelligence are revolutionising healthcare, offering opportunities for continuous clinical improvement as well as more personalised care. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining MFT's Trust-wide reporting and analysis service, using a range of business intelligence products and data warehousing technology. As we seek to improve clinical quality through informatics, we'll look to your expertise to ensure we deliver a first-class service to the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be responsible for the regular collection and storage in a central repository of key performance data items from departments around the Trust. The post-holder will also be required to design the central repository, the processes that are used to refresh the data and keep a register detailing all the data sources with detailed data definitions.

This post will be set within the Data Engineering team working collaboratively with other colleagues to integrate the key performance data items into our performance dashboards and other reports. This will require the post-holder to lead on the development of the central data repository within the Data Warehouse.

The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the development of a performance-focused culture where safety, effectiveness and patient experience are consistently delivered through the provision of high-quality performance information, analytical interpretation, benchmarking, forecasting and intelligent modelling.

The post-holders will play a critical role in the future development of the Trust's data warehouse, associated reports and 'dashboards' in partnership with the Performance and Information Managers.
