That’s where you come in – join us as a Data Architect and help us build a world-class team.The easyJet Holidays Architecture team is a dynamic, forward-thinking technology team, whose purpose is to shape the longer-term direction of technology used by the easyJet Holidays business functions. The team plays an active role in ensuring that programmes & projects move us in that direction through assuring the delivery of good quality, fit-for-purpose solutions. The Architecture team will need to be highly collaborative and work across a broad range of stakeholders, both in the business and within IT, to build understanding and ensure alignment on key decisions.

Please make an application promptly if you are a good match for this role due to high levels of interest.The Data Architect within the team will be focused on data-oriented solution design to support our key strategic initiatives, shaping the strategic direction for EasyJet Holidays data technology architecture and documenting our data technology landscape.This is a permanent position based in Luton. (Hybrid Working)What you’ll be doingLead the data architecture definition for complex end-to-end solutions, working with solution architects and technical leads covering each product under development, and the Head of Architecture driving the long-term architectural direction.Understand, document and govern data structures across multiple systems and business domains with cross-functional views of Operational Data, Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Integration.Support the direction of easyJet Holiday’s technology architecture, with a primary focus on our Data domains.Design applicable data architecture solutions for strategic initiatives and products under development.Provide design and governance of Data Platform technology decisions.Define and govern data architecture technology standards and patterns, working with the Head of Data on Data governance frameworks.Work closely with the Head of Data in providing data technology guidance and direction to support the delivery of our data strategy.Collaborate with the data team, business owners, and architecture to define, maintain and govern logical and physical data models for Operational Data and Data Analytical solutions.Align the Enterprise Data strategies with the organization's data and analytics goals and objectives and maintain, enhance documentation around current state Data Architecture.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data architecture, data management, and analytics technologies.Represent Data in the Solution Design Authority Group.What you'll bring to the teamA combination of architecture expertise in data & integration architecture predominantly centered around AWS cloud.Expertise in understanding technology choices available and mapping the most appropriate data technology to each use case.Expertise in designing, modelling, and optimising using relational (e.g. Amazon RDS), NoSQL (e.g. DynamoDB, DocumentDB), and data warehouses (e.g. Redshift).Expertise in designing scalable, high-performance data platform architecture using AWS native or marketplace technology.Expertise in ETL processes (e.g. Airflow, AWS Glue, Dagster) or other tools with experience across both batch and streaming architectures.Expertise in governance and assurance for enterprise data (data models, resources, products etc.) and integration (e.g., interfaces, Events etc.).Strong knowledge of data encryption, access control, and security best practices in AWS.Familiarity with automation tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform, for infrastructure management.Basic understanding of machine learning models and integration with AWS services like SageMaker.Experience operating with different IT delivery approaches such as agile, waterfall, iterative etc.Nice to have knowledge of the legal and regulatory & DPO Compliance environment within which easyJet operates.What we can offer you20% bonus25 days holidayBAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemesLife AssuranceFlexible benefits packageExcellent staff travel benefitsBusiness Area Technology - easyJet HolidaysPrimary Location Luton
