My client, a prominent organisation in the field, and they are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and implementation of data architecture strategies that support the company's growing data needs and enable the delivery of impactful insights across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of scaleable, robust, and secure data architectures to support business objectives.
Data Modelling: Develop and maintain data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability across systems.
Data Integration: Oversee the integration of disparate data sources into cohesive data architectures, ensuring smooth data flow and accessibility.
Cloud Platforms: Leverage cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to design cloud-based data solutions and data storage strategies.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to align data architecture with business requirements.
Data Governance: Implement data governance frameworks, ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Performance Optimisation: Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of the data architecture by continually evaluating and optimising the data systems.Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar data-focused role.
Strong proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Data Warehousing).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Solid understanding of data modelling techniques and best practices.
Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data processing frameworks.
Knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
Strong experience with data governance, data security, and compliance.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with modern data architecture patterns, including micro-services and event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
