Data Architect | Technical Lead | 2 days a week Central London


I am currently working with a brilliant consultancy with deep expertise in their field of Data and Cyber Security solutions, predominantly with Central Government organisations but they also have strong ties with Defence and Telco. They have experienced impressive growth over the last few years and as a result they are involved in some of the most challenging yet rewarding large scale technical projects in the country.


They are currently looking for a Data Architect, this will be a blend of client facing skills aka, the ability to understand business problems, create a novel models/ solutions to help that client and communicate clearly with them the solution you have found, this combined with strong knowledge of delivering complex data platforms consisting of data analysis, ETL/ELT, machine learning pipelines, BI reporting, Data Security etc. This role will focus on you being the main POC for major clients combined with technical leadership of the wider team across various projects.


Key Skills

  • You have 5+ years of degree level industry experience in data related industries (e.g. as a data engineer, data analyst, data scientist) and as a data architect, ideally in a consultancy or public sector setting
  • You have developed data governance plans that are in line with ethical considerations, cybersecurity and designed their implementation
  • You have experience working on public cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • You have experience with CI/CD tooling to build and deploy code
  • You understand deployment and DevOps strategies to support the design of data architectures that will be deployed
  • You have experience in database technologies, data stores such as Postgres, Apache Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Graph databases preferred, and knowledge of designing the database schemas
  • Need to be SC clearable (5 years in the UK without leaving for longer than 3 months) and willing to do so for this position, current or previous SC clearance preferred
