Job Title: Data Analyst - Food Manufacturing

Location: Preston, Lancashire, UK

Salary: circa £28,000 - £30,000pa dependent on experience, specifically in relation to candidates with experience in the meat / poultry processing sector

Gafoor is a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston looking for an experienced data analyst. Gafoor is a key player in their sector operating in a modern, BRC accredited facility supplying some of the biggest and most progressive names in the grocery, retail, and wholesale sector on a national basis.

The operation involves live animal intake through to distribution of finished and packed product from the company's single manufacturing site in Preston, employing 500 team members.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role you'll help us transform complex data into clear insights that improve our operations, supply chain, quality control, and customer satisfaction. On a broader level, you'll support the wider Operations team by building and maintaining dashboards and reports that provide essential visibility into performance. These tools will help teams across the business make smarter, more informed decisions. You'll also handle ad-hoc data requests and collaborate with colleagues to understand their needs, translating them into actionable analytics that support operational improvements and strategic planning.

What you'll do:

Gather production data from the factory and various production lines,
Analyze production, inventory, and quality data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities
Create dashboards and reports for key stakeholders across operations, logistics and finance
Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve decision-making and drive performance
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across internal systems
Support strategic initiatives with timely, actionable insightsWhat You'll Bring:

2+ years' experience in a data analyst or similar role (experience in manufacturing or food industry a plus)
Strong skills in Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau (or similar tools)
Analytical thinking with a problem-solving mindset
Experience with ERP systems
