The Best Connection Group Limited is looking to appoint a Data Analyst to join our existing team based in Bromsgrove reporting to the Digital Strategy Manager.

The Role:

The core function of a Data Analyst is to collect, organise, analyse, structure and interpret data to support stakeholders in making decisions.

The Data Analyst will:

Extract information from SQL and No-SQL data sets to identify patterns and correlations. Interpret findings from data analysis to produce meaningful information for business stakeholders. Perform statistical analysis of data using different methods and techniques. Use data to predict trends relating to performance of different areas of the business. Use various tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats such as diagrams and graphs. Creating and preparing ad-hoc reports for various stakeholders (internal and external). Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for different business functions. Lead on creation and development of a BI suite for the business. Monitor data quality and manage any data reconciliation and cleansing activity. Communicate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and identify improvements. Develop best practice approaches to delivering MI to relevant stakeholders. Work within the Digital Strategy Team to set up processes and systems to make working with data more efficient. Provide recommendations to the Digital Strategy Manager about data requirements during the development of a digital end-to-end system. Provide data quality assurance and perform validation checks.

The Package:

Annual salary of approximately £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Initially you will be entitled to 30 days paid holiday per annum, rising to 33 days after a year’s employment inclusive of statutory holidays. The Person:

Essential Criteria:

Minimum 3 - 5 years proven experience within a Data Analyst or Data Scientist role Excellent Microsoft Excel skills Experience using data visualisation skills such as Power BI and Tableau In-depth knowledge and experience using SQL Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both verbal and written) Proven experience with Python Comfortable and confident working within different systems and databases Manages own time and can work with autonomy  Can show resilience in an unpredictable environment where work levels and priorities can rapidly change Can adhere to deadlines Meticulous attention to detail Full UK Driving licence

Hours of Work:

Your working week will consist of up to 37.5 hours Monday - Friday with 1 hour’s lunch break each day. The role will initially be based from our Head office in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire for the first few months, after that candidates will have the option to then work from home 1 day per week. The role will be offered subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
