Role Our Customer Solutions Engineers (CSE) are critical technical partners for our customers and sales teams. The CSE will drive the technical integration for Dow Jones’ prospects, customers and partners, who range from cutting-edge startups and incubators to the world’s most respected corporations. In addition to working with customers, the CSE team defines best practices and architecture patterns relevant to customers' needs and incorporates trending technologies and techniques into the proposed solutions. Responsibilities

Work with Sales, their prospects and customers looking to understand and exploit integration possibilities with Dow Jones data and services. Design solutions and implementation guidance

Determine technical and business requirements from customers and propose technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes

Demonstrate solutions that meet the customers’ business requirements and address any technical and product questions during the sales cycle.

Advise and guide prospective customers during their integration of Dow Jones data and services including building and managing proof of concepts

Share best practices, model designs etc. with prospects and customers for both technical development and in support of customer’s internal approvals processes

Provide feedback to Dow Jones Product and Technology teams on emerging requirements and themes and customer technology trends.

Contribute to the team’s portfolio of best practices and processes.

Stay aware of emerging technologies and techniques that can be beneficial to the role and team.

Skills & Experience Required:

Professionalism and a customer-first approach

More than 5 years’ prior work in a customer-facing customer engineering role

Software development experience using Agile development practices.

Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Python and NodeJS languages.

Demonstrated experience building and leading technical product demonstrations that include APIs.

Business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills to assist with customer requirements

Experience responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs

Degree in Computer Science or a related field

Highly Desired:

Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery

Strong coding skills in any modern programming language.

Experience working with Cloud services for data ingestion, processing and storage.

Understanding of Machine Learning techniques, specifically, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text mining.

Experience and familiarity with our products and lines of business including Factiva, Risk & Compliance, Newswires, etc...
