That’s why we are seeking a PSHE Curriculum Lead with Secondary experience who has the passion and expertise to
play a key role in the next phase of programme development. You will join a team of Programme and Curriculum Leads, reporting to Programmes Director, who support each other to develop high-quality, market-leading programmes for schools in the UK and internationally.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan, design and review programme content to ensure it remains market leading and relevant to schools.
• Support the development of the annual Programme Roadmap and contribute to delivering its objectives.
• Ensure content remains compliant to (local or national) Government guidance and in-line with evidence informed
best practice of subject specific pedagogy.
• Lead on areas of content development and quality assure this.
• Ensure content is appropriately adapted and maintained as opportunities, guidance and technology develops.
• Continually innovate and iterate programmes to meet the needs of children, teachers and school
communities.
2. Support schools to embed programmes through training and mentoring
• Co-ordinate with other teams to ensure programme specific support is accurate and high-quality.
• Plan, design and lead training sessions (incl. conferences, webinars, bespoke) as needed.
• Develop strong, lasting positive relationships with schools and visit different schools regularly.
• Evaluate the impact of training and support for different audiences and identify opportunities for improvement.
3. Develop strong internal and external networks to expand programmes reach
• Contribute to external messaging to ensure it reflects USPs and JEG ethos.
• Build positive external relationships to provide greater influence in the sector.
• Gather evidence and feedback to evaluate and further develop our programmes.
• Ensure continuous learning and development, regularly reviewing market leading developments, through
building networks, reading widely and attending CPD events.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Qualified teacher and in-depth PSHE experience in the secondary sector
- Proven track record of planning and teaching exciting PSHE
- Some experience of training other teachers
- Experience of co-ordinating and implementing project plans with successful outcomes
- Understanding of approaches to PSHE, current pedagogies and the potential sensitivities of the subject
- Ability to converse about PSHE in different environments e.g. with teachers, headteachers, others in the sector
- Energy, optimism and enthusiasm for education, PSHE and supporting other teachers
Desirable:
- Experience of subject, pastoral or senior leadership
- Experience of working in a wider context e.g. US/international schools, resource/curriculum design, multimedia
- Experience of working with SEND children and specialist schools
- Knowledge and/or experience of Artificial Intelligence and its applications within education
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Passionate about education especially PSHE and how this subject can empower children
- Deep understanding of evidence-informed pedagogy and subject-specific expertise
- Experience of planning, designing and reviewing programmes of study
- Keen to keep learning and innovating with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Empathy with school senior leaders, teachers and staff and the issues they face regarding delivering statutory PSHE (working for and with schools)
- An understanding of how mindfulness contributes to positive mental health and spiritual development
- Organisational skills and logical project planning, leading, monitoring and reviewing
- Effective time-management, self-motivated and pro-active
- Writing, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel on occasion to visit schools and attend events
