Job Description Cost Capability Engineer Full-time Derby / Hybrid An exciting opportunity has become available for a Cost Capability Engineer in Derby.

You will be part of a global team and support cost engineering capability for design, manufacturing, procurement and services.

This team is part of the newly formed Manufacturing Engineering and Materials Group within ET&S and, as a key part, of this broader, high performing team, we are responsible for generating value for Aerospace through the identification, evaluation and support of product cost avoidance & reduction programmes and projects at all points of the lifecycle.

What you will be doing: Engage, interface with and influence Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Programmes & IT organisations to build and maintain a complete integrated set of Cost Modelling Systems.

Provide rich 'Cost Evaluation' & 'Cost Intelligence' data, tools and reporting to cost engineering team and the whole organisation using coding language.

Develop and Maintain core cost engineering databases.

Shape our digital future through innovation and/or utilising global best practices.

Competence as a programmer in at least one language (PLSQL, C#VB, Java, VBA) Curiosity, Motivation to think out of the box, analytical & critical thinking.

Have academic engineering degree Bach Engineering, Masters in Engineering, PhD in Engineering (no B.Sc, MSc) Like solving problems by coding (SQL, c#, Python, C, or VBA or similar) The professional level and the salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
