Your Role

As a Data Management Consultant, you will be at the forefront of guiding organisations in effectively managing and leveraging their data assets to drive strategic business outcomes. With a focus on data quality, security, governance, and metadata management, your expertise will be critical in helping clients navigate the complexities of modern data landscapes. The role requires someone with a grasp of the evolving data landscape, proficiency in best practices of data management, and a keen interest in AI and its application. Specifically:

You will provide guidance and advisory services to clients on a wide range of data management topics, including data governance frameworks, data ethics policies, metadata management strategies, and master data management (MDM) solutions. You will be at the forefront of integrating cutting edge technologies into data management processes, leveraging machine learning and advanced analytics to enhance data quality, automate data governance tasks, and optimise data processes for efficiency and accuracy. You will contribute to shaping and executing engagements in Data Management, providing strategic and implementation consultancy in areas like Data Governance, Data Ethics, Data modelling, Data Architecture, Data Quality and standards implementation, MDM among others.  You will conduct assessments of clients' data maturity against industry standards using frameworks such as DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model) and DAMA (Data Management Body of Knowledge), leveraging both qualitative and quantitative analysis. You will cultivate trusted client relationships, collaborating to address key challenges in data management, analytics, and AI delivery. You will provide strategic counsel on maximising the value of data-driven insights to drive business decision-making, advising on Information and Data management best practices, advanced analytics methodologies, and emerging trends in data governance. You will support large-scale data transformations from conceptualisation to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and data management best practices You will collaborate with key stakeholders and facilitate innovation initiatives aimed at experimenting with new data and AI concepts. You will contribute to establishing robust data capabilities within client organisations, including organisational design, process optimisation, skills development, and role definition, in alignment with organisational objectives. You will contribute to the development of our practice by working with others in identifying new market opportunities, creating innovative offerings, and creating thought leadership content.

Your Profile

Innovation: Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in data management, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to develop customer-centric data management solutions and drive value creation for clients. Value-Creation: Demonstrated ability to create tangible value for organisations through effective data management and utilisation of data assets. This includes optimising data processes to improve efficiency, identifying cost-saving opportunities through data-driven insights, and driving growth by leveraging data for strategic decision-making and innovation. Leadership: Evidence of your potential as a leader in data management, through both your drive and ambition as well as relevant experience and success in industry or professional services.  Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in data management disciplines, including data quality, security, governance, and metadata management. Experience should also encompass data lineage, taxonomies, cataloguing, and metadata management. Domain Knowledge: Awareness of the data technology landscape, including knowledge of data management tooling and platform capabilities, such as Informatica and Collibra. Additionally, familiarity with industry-standard data management and governance frameworks, such as DAMA-DMBOK, CMMI, and DCAM, is highly desirable. Strategic Thinking: Ability to provide strategic guidance on data management, assisting senior leaders in aligning data initiatives with organizational goals and CDO objectives. Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder engagement skills, cultivated through collaborations with diverse stakeholders including industry partners, and internal capability teams. Ability to navigate complex relationships to drive consensus and achieve strategic goals. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to represent the company in discussions on data strategy. Proficiency in supporting upskilling initiatives to enhance both internal staff and client understanding of data concepts.  Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest advancements in data strategy, data management and operating models. Actively contribute to fostering a culture of ongoing education and innovation within the organisation. Delivery: A track record of delivering within agile working environments, including planning, and implementing solutions with data, analytics, or AI at the core.
