We’re looking for aComputer Vision Leadto guide our ML team and shape how we build and deliver state-of-the-art visual AI at scale. You’ll lead a small, talented team working on complex models, smart pipelines and a growing LVM foundation. Your focus will be on clarity, prioritisation, and people — driving sprint rhythms that help the team move fast and stay engaged.

🧠 What you'll do

Lead and support a world-class ML team

  • Coach and grow a talented group of ML engineers building our CV models and infrastructure.
  • Champion the team’s needs, unblock priorities, and maintain a healthy, high-performing environment.
  • Drive sprint planning, goal-setting and team rhythms that keep delivery focused and engagement high.

Drive and evolve our Computer Vision strategy

  • Own and evolve the technical roadmap for our CV models and systems – balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability.
  • Prioritise across multiple projects, making clear, thoughtful trade-offs that support product and commercial goals.
  • Support the AI team to deliver impactful work at a consistent, sustainable pace.

Work in partnership with our Staff ML Engineer

  • Collaborate closely with our Staff-level individual contributor to align on technical direction, context sharing and execution.
  • While you lead the team, set priorities and drive delivery rhythms, they’ll focus on deep technical execution – together, you’ll shape how the ML function operates and scales.

Stay technically involved

  • Contribute to model development, optimisation and architecture – particularly in areas like large vision models and multimodal approaches.
  • Guide architectural decisions, model refinement and experimentation in collaboration with the team.

Connect across the business

  • Partner with Product, Infrastructure and Customer teams to turn commercial needs into scalable, performant AI systems.
  • Keep communication clear and feedback loops tight across teams and stakeholders.

  • Whether you’ve led teams before or are stepping into leadership for the first time, we’ll support you to develop your approach.

Requirements

Experience & technical skills

  • MSc/MRes/MEng or equivalent experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning or a related field.
  • Proven experience leadingComputer Vision projectsfrom concept to deployment in production environments.
  • Experience managing or mentoring engineers – formally or informally with a focus on delivery, development and team wellbeing.
  • Expertise in Python and deep learning frameworks such asPyTorchorTensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with large vision models and multimodal architectures (e.g. combining vision and text).
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS or GCP), and model deployment in real-world, data-constrained environments.
  • Understanding ofMLOps tools and practices, including model versioning, training pipelines and monitoring.
