We have an exciting newly created opportunity for a mid-level Commercial Analyst to join our growing team. You’ll play an instrumental role in driving continuous experimentation and optimisation of payment flows, pricing models, and feature monetisation strategies. You’ll support initiatives like listing fees, shipping fees, consumer protection charges, and premium features, using data to guide impactful decisions. You’ll also provide cover with engineering analytics, insight around customer lifetime value and channel attribution. We are a small team of passionate individuals building the future of Gumtree and re-commerce. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams around you to ensure data-driven insights guide our revenue growth and user satisfaction. Location: London Waterloo, hybrid working applies with circa 2 to 3 days in the office.

About the role:

You’ll join our B2C team, and will play a key role in delivering commercial data analysis and insight to drive decision making. This includes analysis and insights on payment and pricing data to identify trends, user behaviours, and optimisation opportunities. You’ll have a strong focus on experimentation and testing including designing A/B tests, analysing performance, and contributing to the development of dynamic pricing engines and models to enable scalable experimentation. You’ll also help us to monitor performance. You’ll build dashboards and reporting tools and present and monitor key metrics to ensure strategies deliver both revenue growth and user value. We love to collaborate, so do you. You’ll work particularly closely with stakeholders across product, marketing, analytics, and engineering to align pricing strategies with business objectives.

What are we looking for?

  • You’ll have previous experience in a similar analyst role. This includes proven experience in data analysis, A/B testing, and pricing engines and optimisation as well as feature-based monetisation in eCommerce or marketplaces.

  • You’ll be skilled in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).

  • You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, translating data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with DBT and data modelling are desirable.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, data science, or a related field; preferred but not required.
