About the Opportunity: Our client is an ambitious early-stage startup, aiming to revolutionise the home finance industry by integrating open banking and smart home data to drive meaningful change. Our vision is to enable sustainable, rewards-based financial products for homeowners, addressing the growing demand for solutions that tackle the cost-of-living crisis while enhancing energy efficiency and financial inclusivity. Having developed a cutting-edge HomeScore platform, we’re poised to empower both banks and homeowners with actionable insights, helping to lower mortgage costs and reduce environmental impact. Our client is now looking for a Co-Founder with Chief Technology Officer (CTO) experience to join us in this journey, leading our technology strategy and development as we scale and grow. The Role: As the CTO and Co-Founder, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and scaling our core platform, leveraging open banking and smart energy data to provide real-time insights. You will work directly with the CEO and play a pivotal role in driving product innovation, shaping our technical roadmap, and ensuring a successful go-to-market strategy. This is an opportunity for someone with a passion for technology, financial inclusion, and sustainability, who is excited to join an early-stage company with real traction and a high growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the development and scaling of our HomeHealth Score platform, an API-based infrastructure for banks and financial institutions. • Define and implement the technology roadmap, focusing on data aggregation, machine learning, and AI-driven insights. • Build and manage a high-performing engineering team, ensuring timely product launches and feature rollouts. • Oversee integration with open banking, smart home data systems, and energy performance tools. • Develop a secure, scalable cloud-based platform architecture. • Drive technical excellence and ensure our platform meets compliance with financial regulations and data privacy standards. What We’re Looking For: • Proven experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, or Technical Co-Founder in FinTech, PropTech, or a data-driven technology business. • Expertise in open banking, APIs, and experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure). • A track record of building scalable platforms, ideally in finance or sustainability sectors. • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and leading tech teams. • A passion for data-driven innovation, sustainability, and improving financial systems. • Familiarity with AI/ML and data analytics to drive insights and decision-making. • Prior experience in early-stage startups is highly desirable. What We Offer: • Up to 50% of the founder's equity in the business, alongside competitive salary (post-funding). • The chance to co-found a business with a purpose-driven mission and global growth potential. • The opportunity to shape the future of sustainable home finance and make a lasting impact on both financial inclusion and climate risk management. • A collaborative, entrepreneurial working environment where your ideas and contributions will make a direct impact from day one. Why Join Us? • We are backed by experienced investors and have proven traction, including partnerships with major financial institutions. • You’ll be part of a mission-driven startup addressing climate change, energy efficiency, and affordable housing finance – areas critical to the future of our economy and environment. • We’re entering a highly scalable market, with opportunities to expand across the UK, EU, and USA. How to Apply: If you’re passionate about open banking, AI-driven insights, and making a positive environmental and social impact, we’d love to hear from you. Send your CV and a brief introduction about why you’re interested in becoming a Co-Founder and CTO with our client.
