This fixed term 1-year post is suitable for those with an interest in Paediatric Radiology, offering comprehensive training and experience in paediatric imaging and would be ideal preparation for those wishing to pursue a career as a consultant paediatric radiologist. The successful candidate will join a team of 10 Paediatric Radiologists and a rotating complement of radiology trainees.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the largest National Health Service provider in Scotland with an annual operating budget of just under £2 billion. At the centre of this is a £1billion acute modernisation programme which included the opening in spring 2015 of the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the new Royal Hospital for Children.

NHSGGC has invested £15 million in new facilities and equipment, specifically in the areas of CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, PET CT / SPECT, Angiography and General Digital Imaging.

The South Imaging sector includes QEUH, Victoria ACH and Gartnavel General Hospital. This post will be based in the Royal Hospital for children, with the opportunity for some experience of PET/CT, based at the West of Scotland PET centre, West of Scotland Beatson Cancer Centre, Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow.
