The role:Client and Partner Principal

We're seeking aClient and Partner Principalto join our London office. In this pivotal role, you'll drive the acquisition of new clients though our partner network and expand our engagements with existing key accounts. Acting as the 'commercial lead' on each account or project, you'll collaborate closely with a 'consulting lead' and a 'technical lead' to deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Requirements

Partner Development and Sales Conversion

Lead Generation Strategy:

  • Contribute to and execute a collective prospecting and lead generation strategy targeting the UK market, with potential expansion into the broader EU region.
  • Collaborate with the global leadership team and Marketing Director on tailored marketing campaigns and strategic outreach.

Warm Leads Conversion:

  • Accountable for closing deals with warm leads and growing the value of established accounts.
  • Navigate and nurture partnerships with big tech and small tech companies, including hyper-scalers and high potential new market entrants.

Partnership Development:

  • Build and cultivate long-term relationships with strategic partners to enhance collaboration, increase market reach, and drive revenue growth.
  • Align joint offerings and solutions with partners, ensuring mutual success through shared goals and objectives.

Proposal Development and Sales Presentations:

  • Lead the creation of customised proposals that closely align with potential clients' needs.
  • Collaborate with consultants, the technical team, and leadership to develop innovative and realistic solutions.
  • Present proposals persuasively to secure client commitments.

Market Engagement:

  • Increase brand visibility and engagement through participation in key industry events,
  • conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Co-develop and disseminate case studies and success stories that showcase the
  • company's capabilities and results.

Account Management and Growth

Strategic Account Expansion:

  • Expand Simple Machines' relationships within existing UK strategic client accounts beyond the primary divisions currently engaged.
  • Aim to grow our current strategic client relationships in line with their business needs.

Client Relationship Enhancement:

  • Build trusted relationships with senior executives across multiple organisations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for ongoing strategic accounts, ensuring continuous, open communication and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a strong presence within client organisations through regular in-person meetings and consistent on-site engagement in London and Birmingham.

Consultative Service Expansion:

  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts to broaden service engagement, including exploring opportunities for data-driven digital transformation.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to develop tailored solutions that address specific business challenges.

Procurement Navigation:

  • Understand how to navigate procurement processes in large organisations.
  • Coordinate and manage critical documents and processes, including Statements of Work (SOWs), invoicing, payments, and the overall procurement lifecycle.

Experience and Skills

Commercial Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of commercial experience, with significant time in account management or sales roles within the technology or professional services sectors.
  • At least 3 years in professional services or technology services roles.
  • Demonstrated success with average tenures of at least 3 years in previous roles.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of the tech/data industry.
  • Familiarity with at least one of our key industries: telco, insurance, banking, or health.

Lead Generation and Account Growth:

  • Experience contributing to lead generation strategies and executing them effectively.
  • Proven ability to grow and manage existing accounts.

Communication and Documentation:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce well-formatted, on-brand documentation (slides and Word
  • documents) suitable for client presentations.

Relationship Building:

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives in multiple
  • organisations.

Attention to Detail and Tenacity:

  • Meticulous in details and tenacious in pushing projects to completion.

Commercial Acumen:

  • Understands the financials underpinning a successful consultancy.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Proficient in using MS Office and presentation tools.
