Cheminformatics Researcher

CK Group are recruiting for a Cheminformatics Researcherto join a company in the pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Bracknell on a contract basis for12 months.

Salary:

Hourly £20.20- £28.28 per hour PAYE

Cheminformatics Researcher role:

Develop and implement cheminformatics algorithms and tools to support drug discovery projects. Support data analysis efforts for structure-based drug design projects with substructure searching, fragment analysis, R-group analysis, chemical space diversity and enumeration activities. Build predictive models for project data using machine learning tools (SVM, XGBoost, Random Forrest) Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cheminformatics, machine learning, and NLP. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute computational experiments.

Your Background:

At least 3 years of experience in cheminformatics, bioinformatics, or related field (software engineering, computer science, etc). Experience with cheminformatics software and tools (e.g., RDKit, OpenEye, Cresset) Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java. Experience in machine learning models and data ingestion workflows. Experience in deploying AI-based workflows (e.g., REINVENT, chemprop, etc).
