Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of AI and chat technologies? Our client is on the lookout for a talented Lex / Chat Engineer to join their team for a thrilling 6-month adventure! If you have a passion for developing cutting-edge software solutions using AWS services, particularly Amazon Lex and Large Language Models (LLMs), we want to hear from you!

Role: Lex Chat Engineer

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Hybrid

Rate: £800 per day (umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Develop: Craft and maintain innovative software solutions leveraging AWS AI services, focusing on Amazon Lex and LLMs.
Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate AI capabilities into contact centre solutions.
Write Code: Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code in TypeScript that stands the test of time.
DevOps Advocate: Champion DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
Code Reviews: Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards of code quality and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshoot: Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges across various areas of the software stack.
Stay Current: Keep your finger on the pulse of the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions are both competitive and sustainable.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: Proven track record as a Senior Software Engineer or in a similar role.
AWS Expertise: Strong proficiency in AWS services, especially Amazon Lex and other AI/ML services.
Programming Skills: Proficient in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
DevOps Knowledge: Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools (CI/CD, Serverless, Monitoring).
Contact Centre Tech: Experience with contact centre technologies and integrations.
Problem Solver: Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for working both independently and collaboratively.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills that shine!

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with additional AWS AI services and tools.
Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
Background in agile development methodologies.
