Role:Carbon & BESS Originator

Location:Remote ( Based in the UK)

Salary:£50 000 - £65 000 + benefits


Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing energy company, leverages AI to

optimize energy assets and create routes to market for green assets, supporting the global

net-zero mission.

With operations spanning internationally and a strong commitment to

sustainability, the company has doubled its workforce over the last 24 months, driven by

the goal of fostering a cleaner, greener world.

We are looking for a driven and experienced Originator to source, evaluate, and

originate new carbon and BESS optimization deals, leveraging a strong energy

background and analytical expertise to meet company objectives.


In this role, you will be responsible for:

Development:Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through

relationship-building with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.

Leadership:Establish and oversee a profit center focused on carbon and

emissions trading, encompassing trading activities, risk management, and

commercial strategy.

Evaluation:Assess and secure new BESS and SaaS deals, ensuring compliance

with company standards and risk guidelines.

Reporting:Create and deliver comprehensive proposals and reports to senior

management.

Tendering:Oversee the tender process for front-of-the-meter assets, ensuring

prompt and high-quality submissions.

Negotiation:Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure agreements

that benefit both parties.

Monitoring:Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to establish mutually

advantageous agreements.

Collaboration:Work with internal teams, such as data science, legal, compliance,

trading, and operations, to ensure smooth transaction processing.

Pipeline:Keep a strong pipeline of potential deals and monitor their progress

using CRM and other tools.

Networking:Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking

opportunities to represent the company and grow business connections.


Job Requirements:

Education:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:At least 2 years in origination or a similar role within the energy

industry.

Skills:Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Relationship Building:Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining

professional relationships with clients and industry contacts.

Technical Proficiency:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,

PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software.

Attributes:High self-motivation, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail.

Teamwork:Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

environment.
