This is a fixed term post until 31st January 2026

The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday 0900-1700.

Inverclyde HSCP is seeking to appoint a temporary fulltime Business Support Assistant, Band 3 to join the Inverclyde Centre for Independent Living Team based at Gibshill Road, Greenock.

The post is an essential part of the support to the multi-disciplinary team. You will provide a confidential, comprehensive and varied administrative and secretarial service to the team. You may have to act in the absence of direct supervision. You will be required to use your initiative and resource while exercising a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy and tact. You should have proficient communication skills, including responding to calls internal and external. You would be required to ensure that information is passed on accurately and timeously to the team. You will operate within pre-determined procedures and parameters and will be required to act independently, prioritising work with periodic review from supervisor. This will include record management, data input, minute taking, general typing and general admin duties, reception.

Experience / Qualifications

Must be able to demonstrate competence in the use of range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL. Must show knowledge of working in an office environment and of operation of office equipment and systems. Conversant with office procedures and systems and able to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role. Accurate keyboard, general office and reception procedures. Basic medical terminology advantageous.
