Job Title: Business & Program Management Leader

Location: Welwyn

Salary: £650 - £750 LTD/UMB per day or £419.61 - £484.13 PAYE basic excluding holiday pay per day.

Full Time: Yes (Fixed Term 12-month contract - outside IR35)

Requirements:

A seasoned Project and Program Leader with over 7 years of experience delivering enterprise-level IT and business solutions, with a strong preference for roles within highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution-on time, within scope, and under budget-while navigating complex, compliance-driven environments.

Proficient in defining strategic project roadmaps and aligning technology implementations with overarching business goals. Known for leading multidisciplinary teams encompassing business, technical, and data functions, and for ensuring cohesive execution across all project phases.
An articulate communicator with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders. Combines technical delivery expertise with high emotional intelligence to foster collaboration, build stakeholder trust, and ensure engagement at all levels of the organization.
A pragmatic problem-solver with the ability to drive decisions and deliver outcomes under pressure, while maintaining team alignment and morale. Brings strong leadership capabilities, with a collaborative yet assertive style that challenges the status quo to drive business value.
Thrives in dynamic, ambiguous environments where shared accountability and transparent communication are essential. Embraces iterative practices, active listening, and continuous feedback to ensure agility and adaptability.
Highly proficient in project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, and skilled in tools such as Jira and (url removed). Brings structure and clarity to complex environments, delivering clear project plans, objectives, and progress roadmaps.
Bonus capability includes foundational knowledge of machine learning, analytics pipelines, and AI model lifecycle management-enabling informed collaboration with technical teams where advanced data solutions are involved.

Responsibilities:

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and teams to design and implement new tools and processes that support the delivery of the Pharma Vision.
Lead projects using the most appropriate project management methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid), ensuring solutions are developed, adopted, and deliver intended value within agreed timelines through an iterative and adaptive approach.
Foster team effectiveness by establishing team norms, enabling clear decision-making, facilitating progress, designing purposeful meetings, streamlining workflows, and coaching teams through change.
Proactively engage the broader organization, ensuring awareness of the project, anticipating and addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to maximize impact and adoption.
