Position Overview

This role is central to shaping our enterprise data strategy, enabling innovative solutions, and supporting business growth through the effective use of data.

You will be responsible for leading the strategic development, management, and utilisation of data across our Securities Services platform. This role is pivotal to delivering cutting-edge, data-driven solutions to enhance client outcomes, enable operational efficiencies, and drive revenue growth. You will also be responsible for overseeing the enterprise data strategy, ensuring that data becomes a key enabler of our next-generation custody platform while maintaining compliance with regulatory and market standards.

Your key responsibilities

  • Define and deliver a comprehensive data strategy for Securities Services, aligning with business goals and client needs.
  • Act as a thought leader and key contributor to our next-generation custody and fund services platform, leveraging data as a core differentiator, and collaborate with senior managers across Product, Technology, and Operations to embed data as a strategic asset across the organisation.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise data frameworks, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Promote best practices in data quality, lineage, and stewardship, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and trusted.
  • Develop and deliver data products/services that enhance client offerings, improve operational efficiency, unlocking new revenue streams.
  • Leverage data analytics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), and visualisation tools to deliver actionable insights for internal stakeholders and clients.

Your skills and experience

  • Extensive experience in Securities Services, Financial Services, or related industry with a focus on enterprise data.
  • Strong expertise in data strategy, management, and governance, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements in key markets.
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven transformation and innovation initiatives.
  • Understanding of agile and hybrid delivery models, including experience managing objectives and key results and milestones.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation. Proficiency in data analytics, AI/ML tools, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to identify and realise data monetisation opportunities. Educated to Degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
