ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The senior consultant role is a strategic role for SAP Adoption Services Centre, acting as an experienced trusted advisor with our most valued customers.  In this role, you will be expected to be involved and lead functional and business discussions to support in the delivery of consulting services to best address our customer's needs.  The candidate will be expected to be at the forefront of innovation topics with our customers with hands on delivery expertise essential to meet the high personal and team delivery targets globally. 

The successful candidate will have detailed hands-on delivery experience in at least 2 of the following solutions:

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (including planning)
  • SAP HANA Cloud
  • SAP Datasphere
  • Data Science Languages (Python, R, etc.)

In summary:

  • Delivery consulting (creation of business blueprints, architecture, implementation based on a blueprint, creation of test cases, test scheduling and execution, key user training, go live support, and post go live support)
  • Support in escalated projects
  • Performance of feasibility studies / solution reviews
  • Support of pre-sales activities
  • Regular responsibility as a sub project team leader internally and externally
  • Subject matter expert and internal team lead to enable others

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

 In addition to a strong business and analytics background, the position requires strong problem-solving and consulting capabilities with the ability to communicate effectively in an international team environment.

The ideal candidate will be need to be immediately billable to customers and covers a major part of the following expertise areas: 

 

BACKGROUND:

  • University / Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent
  • Strong analytics industry know how
  • Fluent English

 

PERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Experience of working in a virtual team is highly desirable – this role will require a lot of remote and working on client sites as a single point of contact for SAP
  • Ability to travel up to 100% and at immediate notice throughout Europe and possibly globally
  • Strong work ethic, dependable, and responsible
  • Easily able to stay on top of technology innovations and eager to continuously develop yourself in new topics
  • Must be a flexible self-starter who can ramp up with new technologies quickly and can adapt to a growing and rapidly evolving team
  • Willingness to participate in the sales process as a subject matter expert
  • Ability to inspire confidence and work with all levels of client and internal staff
  • Ability to deliver clear, concise presentations to non-scientific audiences
  • High energy, clear goal orientation and strong work ethic; “can do” attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English at fluent level is a must
  • Motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure

 

CUSTOMER FACING SKILLS:

  • Ability to capture customer requirements and translate them into software specifications
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and precise manner; with non-technical audience
  • Professional appearance and demeanour
  • Presentation skills – ability to create professional presentations, handle proper setup of location, use technical/visual aid, have adequate body language and vocabulary, proactively engage with customer and handle questions

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years overall experience in business and technical roles
  • A minimum of 5 full cycle implementations
  • Very strong know how in at least 2 of the solutions listed is essential
  • Track record of successfully implementing production of analytics projects in challenging environments
