The Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Process Automation and AI Development Specialist to join our professional services consulting practice. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving efficiency, innovation, and digital transformation by automating business processes and developing AI solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of business operations, advanced technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities


Business Process Automation:


  • Analyse current business processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Design, develop, and implement automated workflows using Microsoft 365 environment (Power Automate, CoPilot), BPM (Business Process Management) software, and other relevant technologies.
  • Create and maintain documentation for automated processes, including process maps, workflows, and user guides.
  • Monitor and optimize automated processes to ensure they are functioning as intended and delivering expected benefits.
  • Work with stakeholders to assist in automating processes for new service offerings
  • Design BPA and AI strategy for professional services company


AI Development:


  • Develop and implement AI solutions to solve complex business problems and enhance service offerings.
  • Integrate AI solutions with existing business systems and processes to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning and recommend new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
  • Extensive understanding and technical knowledge of the market trends and factors affecting a consulting business within the financial sector.
  • Understanding risk to the business, ensuring adherence to good governance and mitigating reputational damage to the company in the development of AI products and processes.


Project Management:


  • Lead and manage automation and AI projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, consulting teams, to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and provide regular updates on progress.
  • Proven experience in service delivery across multiple projects and building expertise within teams for delivery to clients
  • Results orientated with determination to deliver against results and KPIs.


Consultation and Support:


  • Provide expert advice and guidance to internal teams on business process automation and AI best practices.
  • Work closely with Head of People to enable skills development and conduct training sessions, workshops to educate stakeholders on new technologies and processes.
  • Offer ongoing support and maintenance for implemented solutions, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary enhancements.
  • Confident, articulate, exceptional presentation skills.
  • Able to build trust and credibility with individuals internally and externally.
  • Effective communicator with a track record of successfully building relationships and trust


Key Criteria:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in business process automation, AI development, and project management.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere), BPM software, and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with data analysis, data engineering, and working with large datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • This is a senior role with the expectation that the candidate will be a key contributor to direction and growth of the business, role modelling the company values, developing and guiding employees.
