Brighton | Permanent | £30-35k + Commission | Double OTE


A forward-thinking Summit/Events company is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to harness their entrepreneurial spirit and drive their portfolio of global events and media outlets.

In this role, you will sell sponsorship opportunities at leadership summits/events in various tech/sustainability and food-based markets.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Spearhead sales across the company’s portfolio of summits and support existing projects
  • Collaborate closely with the research team to gain an in-depth understanding of your product portfolio's target audience and prospects
  • Conduct market research to generate and qualify new leads for each campaign
  • Achieve a guide of five productive calls per day
  • Attend the company’s flagship events and organise business development trips to meet with clients
  • Close sales, meet targets, and generate new business opportunities
  • Oversee the execution of sponsorship deliverables according to contractual agreements


Requirements

To be considered you must have:

  • Proven sales prowess with excellent sales records
  • Ambition with a drive to achieve financial targets
  • A genuine passion for sustainability and technology
  • A strong work ethic with a high pace of work
  • Sophisticated, intelligent and professional presentation
  • Minimum of 2 years B2B sales or recruitment experience dealing with senior business executives.
  • Clear understanding of the consultative selling process
  • Comfort with using the phone and willingness to travel internationally


Desirable qualifications:

  • Additional language proficiency IDEAL NOT REQUIRED – Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, French
  • Understands the B2B conference model
  • Experience in the sustainability and cleantech sectors
