This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a sales background to develop a career selling hugely successful mathematical and data science solutions for one of the most exciting specialists in this field.

They are an exceptionally high-performing company. They develop brilliant world-changing mathematical SaaS and they need an equally brilliant business development person to help take it to new markets. Their artificial intelligence has led on world-first achievements and they are keen to expand their footprint into new markets.


You will be encouraged to identify and evaluate opportunities for new and renewal customer relationships; assessing, developing and pitching synergistic solutions and helping negotiating contracts to a successful conclusion. You will be given the freedom to develop your own niche, and grow your experience and knowledge. This could be in energy transition, renewables, sustainable power generation, electric vehicles, or any wider industry that excites you.


Your passion for STEM topics will be truly valued and you will have the authority and autonomy to drive your own sales process and develop long term client partnerships.


The role


Specific tasks will include:

  • Identify new clients and establish genuine partnership prospects
  • Seek out opportunities to widen the reach of existing relationships
  • Rigorous qualification of opportunities to ensure resultant projects are relevant and mutually beneficial
  • Development of written proposals and solutions, working closely with academic colleagues
  • Nurture the relationship from outset, through contract negotiations to conclusion


What you will bring


  • STEM degree or equivalent (essential)
  • At least three years sales, business development or account management experience
  • Natural talent to develop new and existing customer relationships
  • An instinct for applying high tech within a commercial setting
  • Establish a big picture understanding and generating compelling propositions
  • Manage and progress multiple projects efficiently and effectively with a strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills


In return you will receive an on-target earnings in the region of £60,000 per annum plus an excellent pension. The organisation is based in the South East of England however the role can be 100% home-based.
