We are seeking aAudio Development Engineerto help us revolutionise the music industry. The company has invented a new technology to produce on-demand vinyl records and built a web platform for music creators to create and sell their products worldwide via our store at zero cost. We are working with the leading record labels, streaming services, digital service providers, distributors, and iconic global artists who are keen to partner with us to build a global solution for physical media. But most of all, we would also like to give small artists and artists at the beginning of their careers frictionless access to offer vinyl and CD to their fans via our innovative solution and planned production/fulfilment centres in Europe, USA and Asia.

The vinyl market has been growing on average more than 20% yearly over the last 16 years, and even CDs are growing for the first time in two decades. Over 30 million creators are releasing their music online today, and they are growing 30% a year. They represent the fastest-growing music segment. Most of them would like to have their music on vinyl or CD for their friends & family and especially their fans. elasticStage will provide them with easy and affordable access via its unique and scalable on-demand tech.

We are looking for a motivated and results-drivenAudio Development Engineerto join our dynamic Audio team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing internal audio tools, improving system efficiency, and contributing to the evolution of our audio technology.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection ofaudio engineering, software development, and cutting-edge researchin a fast-growing industry disruptor.

Requirements

Role Responsibilities:

  • Developing internal audio tools- Design, implement, and maintain audio tools (scripts, plugins, and software) based on R&D team requirements.
  • Improving audio system efficiency- Evaluate existing and ongoing system development with a focus on computational demand and scalability.
  • Contributing to the audio systems roadmap- Identify and implement solutions to support ongoing and future challenges.
  • Audio systems ownership- Collaborate with the wider audio team to manage the audio system pipeline and work with the software team to integrate and roll out new features.
  • Audio system calibration and measurement- Develop and implement processes for calibrating complex physical audio systems through measurement.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering with a focus on signal processing, audio, acoustics, or audio electronics.
  • Proven experience working with signal processing and audio hardware in an R&D team or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing fundamentals; real-time audio processing, convolution, digital filtering concepts etc.
  • Fundamental experience developing VST/AU/AAX/other format audio plugins for real-time audio processing.
  • Experience developing audio software/tools with MATLAB/Python/JUCE systems.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to team members.
  • Experience integrating audio tools into broader software architectures.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with physical audio systems.
  • Understanding of gain structures and complex signal paths.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of networked audio systems.
  • Experience working with DSP as part of a hybrid system with analog signal paths
  • Background in modeling electroacoustic systems.
  • Familiarity with machine learning applications in audio processing.
  • Passion for music and audio production.
