About us: UWE, Bristol School of Computing and Creative Technologies is a leading provider of Higher Education programmes in the West of England. We provide undergraduate provision in computer science, software engineering, cyber security, information science, digital media and games and music technology and mathematics. We offer state of the art facilities to deliver professionally focussed programmes across our discipline range.
About you: Due to the growth in our programmes we are currently looking for associate lecturers to provide support for lectures, tutorials, computer labs, project supervision and marking of assessments in data science.
Associate lecturers are contracted for a fixed number of hours within an academic year. The current full rate of renumeration of £49.70 per unit of work covers (Teaching + preparation) teaching, associated marking and preparation.
We are looking for individuals who have a strong knowledge of core computing topics. We are specifically seeking expertise in
- Machine learning
- Data management
- Artificial intelligence
- Data visualisation and analytics
- Data mining
- Cloud computing
- Natural language processing
- User experience and design
You should have a relevant postgraduate qualification, preferably to PhD level and have some experience of working in a higher education environment.
