Role Description

This full-time, on-site position at the University of Khorfakkan requires an Assistant/Associate Professor specializing in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Games Development or Embedded Systems. The role involves conducting high-quality teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, and guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students. The candidate will engage in innovative research, contribute to scholarly publications, and participate in academic committees, departmental activities, and community outreach.


Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited institution. Preference will be given to graduates from internationally top-ranked universities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, or Computer Games Development, evidenced by strong academic achievements, professional contributions, and relevant scholarly activities.
  • Substantial teaching experience in higher education, with a proven ability to design, deliver, and assess engaging curricula that promote interactive, student-cantered, and innovative learning experiences.
  • A solid research profile, including publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, and evidence of ongoing scholarly engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, mentorship, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse academic environment.
  • Familiarity with contemporary pedagogical approaches and educational technologies that support effective teaching and learning is highly desirable.
  • Experience with academic program accreditation processes, quality assurance activities, and meaningful institutional service will be considered an asset.
