What You'll Do


  • Innovate in Healthcare: Develop and optimize machine learning models for disease prediction, early diagnosis, and personalized healthcare solutions.
  • Process Diverse Data: Analyze structured and unstructured health data from wearables, IoT devices, and medical records to enhance early disease detection.
  • Drive Accessibility: Create AI-powered solutions to improve digital and physical accessibility for individuals with disabilities, focusing on vision and cognitive support.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work with multidisciplinary teams to translate technical insights into actionable solutions for stakeholders.
  • Ensure Ethical AI: Adhere to data privacy regulations (GDPR, MDR, HIPAA, EHDS) and implement ethical AI practices.


Who You Are


Essential Skills:

  • A PhD in a related field with some work experience or a Master's Degree with extensive relevant experience.
  • Expertise in handling missing data, outliers, and feature engineering.
  • Proficient in Python for hypothesis formulation, testing, and correlation analysis.
  • Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning and model interpretability (SHAP, LIME).
  • Skilled in creating visualizations with Matplotlib or Seaborn.
  • Experience deploying predictive models in clinical settings or EHR systems.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks (GDPR, MDR, HIPAA, EHDS).
  • Knowledge of Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Federated Learning architectures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data tools.
  • Expertise in XAI, bias mitigation, and ethical AI practices for healthcare.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong documentation and reporting skills for EU project deliverables.
  • Enthusiasm for AI applications in healthcare, energy, and digital inclusion.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
