AI Engineer – Manchester - £40-45k


We are currently working with an international business in Manchester that is actively recruiting for an AI Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.


This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody with excellent experience designing and deploying high-quality AI models who is looking for the next step in their career.


This is a hybrid role with three days per week on-site.


Responsibilities:


  • Carrying out the design, development and deployment of scalable and effective AI and ML models
  • Providing thorough analysis of datasets (often on a large scale), providing the business with useful analysis
  • Working cross-functionally across the business with other systems teams as well as non-technical departments, ensuring the business is able to get the most out of AI
  • Assessing existing AI models in use to ensure they are accurate and allow for high performance
  • Ensuring AI and ML models are effectively monitored and maintained
  • Writing AI-related documentation related to workflows and architecture


Experience required:


  • A proven track record of using Python, Java, C++ or similar
  • Excellent knowledge of ML frameworks (PyTorch preferable)
  • Strong cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Extensive experience working with data processing tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot and OpenAI, with a strong understanding of Deep Learning and NLP
  • Knowledge of Azure ML Pipelines, MLflow and other MLOps practices
