Salary: £55,000 – £85,000 + EMI shares

Location: UK wide Home based / Hybrid (with occasional travel to client offices as needed)

Main Locations - Edinburgh or Glasgow. Also roles in Manchester and London

About the Role

As anApplied AI Solution Engineer, you’ll work as part of small, cross-functional teams to build and deploy AI-powered applications — such as language model agents and intelligent automation tools — into real-world enterprise environments. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to solution design, development, testing, and deployment while learning from senior engineers and working directly with clients.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop AI applications usingPython, large language models, and modern cloud-based tools.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation ofmicroservicesanddata pipelines.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and engineers to understand requirements and deliver value.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Continuously learn and stay current on the latest trends in AI and software development.


What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experiencein software engineering (or strong portfolio/projects), ideally in Python.
  • Exposure to AI/ML tools, APIs, or foundational models (e.g. OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain).
  • Familiarity withcloud services(e.g. AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (e.g. Docker).
  • Interest in or experience withbuilding microservices, APIs, or distributed systems.
  • Prior work with data processing, prompt engineering, or LLM evaluation.
  • Enthusiasm for learning, experimentation, and applying new AI tools to real-world problems.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
