Senior AI Engineer – FinTech – London (Hybrid)

We are working with an established financial technology company based in central London to identify a Senior AI Engineer for their expanding machine learning team. The successful candidate will join a cohort of eight highly skilled engineers working on production-grade AI systems that directly influence financial decision-making and product offerings.

The role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring attendance in the London office two days per week. This arrangement allows for collaboration with stakeholders while maintaining flexibility.

What makes this opportunity distinctive:

  • The work involves deploying models into live financial environments rather than experimental prototypes, with systems processing millions of transactions weekly
  • The organisational structure is deliberately flat, enabling engineers to contribute ideas directly to technical leadership without bureaucratic barriers
  • Career progression is actively supported, evidenced by six team members receiving promotions during the last financial year

Technical requirements include:

  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing machine learning models using Python frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Practical knowledge of generative AI tooling including Hugging Face transformers and LangChain orchestration
  • Specialisation in natural language processing and large language models, covering training methodologies, deployment strategies and optimisation techniques
  • Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes for model deployment

The position offers a base salary between £95,000 and £120,000 + bens. Candidates must be legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom as visa sponsorship is not available.
