We're looking for an AR Engineer to join our AR team at Snap Inc!

What you'll do: 

Help Snap fulfill our vision of Spatial Computing

Own the development of new interactive experiences from prototype to product release 

Design and build novel Augmented Reality UI and UX

Collaborate with Software and Computer Vision teams to create the most fun, surprising, and stable products possible 

Push the boundaries of our AR platform and pave the way for external developers to easily do work at these boundaries.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

Ability to program highly interactive experiences

Ability to work with digital content creation tools (2D, 3D, etc.) 

Strong communication and collaboration skills 

Expertise in designing, prototyping, and programming with real-time 3D engines and frameworks (Unity, Unreal, OpenFrameworks, Processing, WebGL/OpenGL, etc.) 

Minimum qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience

A strong visual sense combined with deep technical knowledge. Both are full time pursuits and you’ll likely be on a spectrum in between.

Experience designing, developing and shipping real-time interactive experiences 

Preferred qualifications: 

A creative portfolio (can be just a document with text, images and links about your projects)

Proven track record of shipping premium consumer product experiences in games, advertising, or other related channels 

A passion for creating interactive experiences that are fun, delightful, and allow Snapchatters to communicate and express themselves in new ways 

Experience with next-gen UI frameworks like React, Flutter, Swift UI, etc

Experience with a wide range of programming languages

Experience writing performant GPU code

Basic experience with 3D packages like Blender, Cinema 4D, Max, Maya, etc
