Role Overview

As an Application Software Engineer, you will:

  • Lead and manage complex technical projects in a commercial environment.
  • Adapt communication to collaborate effectively within a diverse software team.
  • Mentor junior developers, fostering growth and knowledge-sharing.
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle (design, development, and implementation).

    Requirements

    Education & Skills
  • 2:1 or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field from a leading university along with high pass marks at A-levels.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
    Technical Proficiency
  • Hands-on experience with:
    o Programming: Node.js, Python, Java
    o Databases: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis
  • A general engineering mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    Experience
  • Prior experience managing complex technical projects in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a small team.
    Relocation & Work Model
  • Open to relocating to Cambridge (not a fully remote role).
