As the Engineer for Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at A-Safe, you will collaborate across multiple teams to lead AI & ML model training, validation, experimentation, and monitoring to ensure consistent, reliable performance in production environments.

This is a full-stack role involving close work with Data teams to ensure system compatibility and efficient handling of AI & ML workloads, as well as with Software Development Teams for proof of concept (POC) experiments and deployments.

In this pivotal role, you will design and deliver robust, scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions, championing innovative development. Your expertise will demonstrate the transformative potential of AI/ML at A-SAFE, enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing performance, and supporting data-driven decision-making. By integrating advanced analytics into our products and services, your contributions will directly support our mission to prevent workplace injuries, improve safety standards, and safeguard lives. Your work will position A-SAFE at the forefront of AI-driven innovation with a tangible impact on safety worldwide.

In this role, you will:

Have proven experience with Generative AI including LLMs, RAG, chain-of-thought reasoning, transformers, diffusion models, and recommender systems.

Be skilled in developing and managing comprehensive training data pipelines, including data gathering, cleaning, augmentation, labeling, and managing vector databases for large-scale RAG workflows.

Possess skills in model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and continuous improvement frameworks (MLflow, AWS SageMaker Model Monitor), ensuring models meet scalability, latency, and operational performance requirements.

Have experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, and familiarity with Azure AI Foundry is advantageous.

Be familiar with software engineering best practices (version control, CI/CD, code reviews), with some exposure to Java/Scala for Databricks as a plus.

Have experience deploying or integrating models with front-end or back-end systems, APIs, microservices, or other relevant services, including AWS services, serverless architectures, Python, and TypeScript/Node.js.
