Salary:£26,000 - £30,000 per year (rising every 6 months)

We are seeking a motivatedEntry-Level/Junior Actuarial Pricing Analystto join our growing team at a leading insurance company based inNorth Shields, Newcastle upon Tyne. Specializing in new driver, learner, taxi, and courier insurance, we offer a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career actuarial professional to gain hands-on experience in pricing models.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and pricing of insurance products tailored to new drivers, learners, taxi drivers, and couriers.
  • Collaborate with senior actuaries to analyse data, build pricing models, and assess risks for various insurance segments.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of pricing recommendations.
  • Help maintain and refine actuarial assumptions for both existing and new products.
  • Support pricing strategies to ensure competitive and sustainable pricing models.
  • Work across teams to integrate accurate data for model development.


Ideal Candidate:

  • A degree inData Science,Mathematics & Statistics,Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • AMaster’s degreein a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Some experience or internships in anactuarial role(preferably with pricing exposure).
  • Strong proficiency inExcel; experience withR,Python, or other statistical modeling tools is a plus.
  • A strong interest in the insurance industry, particularly pricing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
