They are seeking an Android SecurityResearcher to take a leading role in extending their advancedmalware analysis and detection capabilities to the Androidplatform.This is a unique opportunity to be the first hire in theirAndroid security team, shaping best practices in the fight againstnation-state and mercenary spyware. You will work alongside teamsspecialising in iOS, network security, and data science to build aworld-class Android security function.ResponsibilitiesAs an AndroidSecurity Researcher, your key responsibilities willinclude:Analysing Android malware to identify signatures anddevelop cutting-edge detection methods.Designing and developingadvanced malware analysis tools to stay ahead of evolvingthreats.Investigating potential attack vectors on Android devicesand assessing exploitation techniques.Identifying signs ofexploitation and implementing effective preventionstrategies.Evaluating failed exploits to refine detection andresponse methodologies.Collaborating across teams to integratefindings into a robust security framework.Essential RequirementsTobe successful in this role, you will need:Proficiency with reverseengineering tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, Frida, and JEB.Strongexperience in Android forensics and the analysis of commercialspyware.A comprehensive understanding of the Android operatingsystem, including log file locations and analysis.Expertise inAndroid sandboxing and the development of malware analysispipelines.Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.Knowledge ofthe ELF format.Excellent verbal and written communication skills inEnglish.Desirable SkillsWhile not essential, the following skillsare advantageous:Basic knowledge of machine learning.Familiaritywith mobile frameworks such as Cordova, Xamarin, and Flutter.What’son OfferThis role provides a rare opportunity to join awell-supported and innovative team, where you will play a key partin defining the future of Android security.
