Junior Data Scientist - E15 Insights | Full-Time / Permanent, hybrid working London

We're looking for an ambitious Junior Data Scientist to join our innovative insights and analytics team, E15 Insights - specialists in using the power of data to elevate operational delivery, enhance guest experiences, and optimise technology across our world-class sports and entertainment venues.


This is the chance to grow your career within an exciting data insights and analytics team! As Junior Data Scientist you will work collaboratively with team members on a varied range of projects using the significant data from across the Levy UK&I business. You will develop a thorough understanding of the data, enable targeted querying of the database to both test hypotheses and opportunities, and create automation of data to allow long term monitoring and optimisation of the wider business.


This flexible role is hybrid working a min. of 2 days per week in our London office and 3 days remote working.

Junior Data Scientist - The role

  • Create and test hypotheses using data to enable optimisation of the wider business.
  • Collecting, cleaning, and exploring complex datasets
  • Develop, test, and maintain machine learning models for a variety of projects across venues including forecasting revenue and labour optimisation.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities within the team.
  • Take ownership of processes, model training and testing and demonstrate pride in solving problems independently.
  • Share insights and recommendations from the data, communicating with stakeholders and other members of the team to identify blockers, areas of collaboration and best ways of working.
  • Keeping up to date with latest AI and Data Science trends and how they could impact the business.

What we're looking for

  • Effective communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with programming languages such as R or Python
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A growth mindset
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar analytical tools desirable but not necessary.
  • Solid fundamentals in statistics, mathematics and/or data sciences concepts and an understanding how to apply them to real-world problems
